p. 2 of 3 (Steps 13-23)


Diagrams for steps 13-23.
  1. Fold in the sides to match the top and bottom as closely as possible. Unfold.
  2. Completely unfold the model, to the original square, but with the white side up.
  3. The precreasing is nearly done...
  4. Valley fold, and unfold, along the precreases that form the base of the box, as shown.
  5. Valley fold, and unfold, along the precreases that form the top of the box, as shown.
  6. The precreasing is done.
  7. Valley fold one side up out of the plane of the paper. Use a crease made in step 16.
  8. The model is now 3-dimensional. Fold an adjacent corner out of the plane of the paper. Reverse fold the excess paper toward the interior of the model.
  9. Repeat step 20 to reverse-fold the remaining three sides.
  10. Pinch one side closed by raising the adjoining flaps to the vertical.
  11. Press the now-closed side counter-clockwise against a side.
